Do you want to put on a high-impact, highly-attended event that will attract hundreds or thousands of people and eventually connect them to your church?
Our first Egg Drop in 2007 was a disaster. We planned for 2,000 people and 8,000 people showed up. Parents were separated from their children, traffic was backed up for miles, hundreds of kids didn’t get any eggs or candy and the park officials threatened to shut us down. The local internet message board had some choice words
Not exactly the outcome we were hoping for.
In the days that followed, nobody on our team wanted to think about doing the event again. But as the dust settled, we decided that it would take at least one more year to judge effectiveness. So we decided to give it another try.
I’m so glad we did!
The second time, attendance was cut in half, but it was the smoothest event we’d ever done. City officials were amazed at how smooth things went, and they ASKED us to continue the annual event.
We learned.
We actually learned a lot.
And I want to share everything with you in this resource called “Everything Egg Drop.”
I bought your Egg Drop resource…we had 4000 come out! It was unbelievable. So many doors open. – Charlie Swain, The Church at Cane Bay
Over the course of four years of planning and executing this event, we learned a few things:
- How to do this event without breaking the budget. You don’t have to spend $20,000 to have a high impact event that attracts thousands of people. In fact, there was one decision that literally saved us thousands and thousands of dollars every year.
- How to register people so we can follow up with them later. We didn’t just want a fun event…we wanted to connect the dots for people in our community and invite them to church. We learned how to do that.
- How to avoid big time mistakes. We made a few killer mistakes the first year, and you can avoid them.
This resource will give you everything you need to execute an Egg Drop for your community. You will learn from our mistakes and our successes. You will be equipped with a step-by step guide and learn all these things:
