How’s your weekend service working? Because since you’re IN it, you probably miss things. That’s why you need an outsider’s perspective. And that’s why I’m offering a secret shopper service. I will see things you miss, and help you make a great first impression. In some cases, my entire family will come with me, giving an extra layer of analysis.
What will I evaluate as a church secret shopper?
Everything…from start to finish. Before I visit, we’ll talk in order to make sure I see everything I need to see. We’ll tailor the visit to suit your needs, but here’s a list of what I can evaluate:
- Pre-service experience, including interacting with the website and finding directions.
- Parking and First Impressions. We’ll arrive early and make our way to the service.
- Signage. We probably won’t ask for directions, but we’ll take note of everything.
- Hospitality. We’ll interact with a few people in key areas.
- Facility. We will take a look around, probably noticing things that you overlook.
- Kid’s Check In (preschool and elementary). We will check our children in and evaluate the process. We’ll even give you feedback from our kids.
- Music. We’ll participate in worship, and evaluate everything from the singers, to the band members, to the overall presentation and experience.
- Sermon. You won’t get general feedback, you’ll get specific comments and recommendations.
- Announcements and Handouts. We’ll take a look at your announcements, and provide specific feedback.
- Follow Up. We’ll evaluate what happens after our visit.
How does the secret shopper service work?
Once we set up the details, we’ll show up unannounced and participate along with everyone else. If you’d like, we can debrief quickly immediately following the service.
What kind of secret shopper report will I receive?
Approximately 7-10 days later, you will receive a detailed report with all of our feedback and recommendations. Every area will receive a straight forward score, with specific recommendations on improvements. Here is a sample report.
How much does the church secret shopper service cost?
I don’t want waste your time going back and forth on cost, so I’ll be upfront. This costs $1,000, plus any travel expenses. This is a serious evaluation, and you’ll get a detailed report.
